The Covenant of God – I AM
(John 14:20 - 1 John 4:17 – I Cor 6:17)
Our identity is tied to our inheritance which both together manifests in dominion. (Gen 1:26)
Ephesians – This letter’s theme is the riches of Christ Jesus.
Many theologians say this book can be read together with the book of Joshua.
We are the covenant; Duet. 28 the blessings without the curses.
We are His inheritance (Psalms 2:7-12)
Eph. 1:3 - a eulogy of the blessing
Eph. 1:4 – chosen in Christ
Eph. 1:5 – Adopted as Sons and daughters (Identity) in Christ
Eph. 7-8 – Redemption, forgiveness, all grace. (Favor unmerited)
Eph. 1:10 – uniting all things in Christ in heaven and earth.
Eph. 1:11 - received an inheritance
Eph. 1:11 – everything is being worked out according to His will.
Eph. 1:13-14 – the Holy Spirit is the guarantee of our inheritance.
This is how rich we are, there is nothing left, we are not in want, no lack, complete in Him as Him.
Now Paul has just dropped a truckload of truth in our laps, our minds cannot then and now comprehend all that this entails. He knows this, He himself is still grasping the depth of these truths.
Paul prays our most important prayer 1:15-23 – Our revelation of all the riches.
Our identity, our inheritance and dominion in Christ
The result is that we become what creation is waiting for, the manifestation of the sons of God. (Romans 8:19) We are not living for God, we are living God (I Am) who He says I am, One with the Godhead, in Christ as Christ heaven on earth
