Living Christ Loving ALL
2 Tim. 3:16-17
Romans 14:7 – For none of us lives for ourselves alone...
Phil. 2:3-4 – esteem – the regard in which one is held, high regard, worth, value, opinion, judgment. To set a high value on, regard highly, prize accordingly.
Our motive is love
No competition in the kingdom – all for one and one for all...
Luke 10:25-37 – Who is my neighbor?
This was a debate even amongst the Pharisee's.
They were considered separatists
Being separate even from my neighbor.
Why does Jesus use a Samaritan in His story?
Jesus was not a separatist
He included Samaritans – woman at the well (This includes women)
Women with the issue of blood touched his garment
Zacheus a tax collector
Mary a prostitute
Lepers and adulterers and thieves etc.
Jesus modeled love thy neighbor
Jesus was showing the same love God has for Him
I love each of you with the same love that the Father loves Me (John 15:9)
Love one another to love your enemies
Love is the motive for all things as it is with the Godhead
Love would never compete with another; love would never make another feel less than. Love covers a multitude of sin.
Love takes the wrong suffered, love forgives, love never fails.
We have the nature of God in us, one with Jesus, Christ in us loving all through us.
The sons of thunder – Mark 10:35-45, Matt. 20:20-28
There was competition among the disciples
Jesus in essence put forth a no competition clause.
You would never do that from a pure heart of love.
Jesus would pick 12 guys that:
Would steal from the treasury
Deny Him
Betray Him
Forsake Him?
John 3:16 – Loving them not for what they could do for Him, loving them in spite of what they will do to Him.
Today we all separate from others from:
Class, race, political party. Denominationalism, etc.
No love loss, we marginalize.
Who is my neighbor? Not them...
Matthew 7:12
If everybody lived from this, the church and the world would be a different place altogether.
Treat others the way you would want them to treat your loved ones.
The only way is the way of love.
“Father forgive them”, He knew the love of God Himself (experientially)
You cannot give what you have not received.
Love must be experienced, not a theology of God alone.
Eph. 3;18
Romans 5:5
John 17:23
We have the nature of God in us, one with Jesus, Christ in us loving all through us.
